4. Using acne medications- over-the-counter or prescribed.

Doctors may prescribe topical or oral antibiotics for severe acne on the arm. However, mild to moderate arm acne can be treated with anti-acne products containing benzoyl peroxide or salicyiic. Arm acne treatment can be in the form of cream and ointment. This can be applied to the skin once or twice daily, depending on the product. Instructions on how to use these products should be monitored carefully to avoid complications.
